ISTITUTO JACQUES MARITAIN

Maritain Eu is a non-profit association based in Trieste and committed to the promotion and study of man and his life in society. The institute, which takes its name and a source of inspiration from the French philosopher Jacques Maritain, has been active for more than a decade through its many initiatives, mostly focusing on intercultural dialogue and peace, human rights, integration processes and the enlargement of the European Union , urban development and local governance, social and education science.

The Institute activities are structured into different research programmes on the following topics:

- restorative justice;

-social innovation for inclusion and integration; 

- ethics in a competitive society;

- ethics of sports.

The research, advanced training and cultural animation activities carried out by the Institute are the basis of its further initiatives:

-the School of Applied Anthropology, a permanent educational initiative through which the results of academic research are proposed and culturally interpreted;

-the research programme "Anthropologica" and the Philosophy Yearbook under the same name for the publication of its scientific results.

The various in-depth studies developed under the Institute's initiatives are then published in the Edizioni Meudon series.

EUROPEAN FORUM FOR RESTORATIVE JUSTICE

The European Forum for Restorative Justice (EFRJ) aims to help establish and develop high quality victim-offender mediation and other restorative justice practices in Europe.  EFRJ is a non-profit, membership organization with almost 500 members  (including researchers, practitioners, policymakers and about 80 organisations), mostly from Europe but also beyond. The EFRJ mostly focuses on the application of restorative justice to criminal matters; in recent years, other areas such as family, school and community restorative practices have been explored to prevent crime and violence to occur.

ASSOCIATION FOR CREATIVE SOCIAL WORK

Association for Creative Social Work (Udruga za kreativni socijalni rad) is a non-governmental organization founded in 1998 with the aim to use creative social work as a tool for support and guidance to the disadvantaged groups in fulfilling their potentials through healthy lifestyles and choices. It focuses on issues related to children and youth from homes for children and youth without adequate parental care, institutions for youth with behavioural problems, or juvenile penitentiaries, or those from the families under supervision of centres for social welfare.

FUNDATIA PROFESSIONAL

Professional Foundation is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit foundation, established in 1998 with a view to promoting high quality in education, intercultural tolerance and appreciation, life-long learning, human rights, fight against poverty and discrimination and social inclusion. It promotes: intercultural dialogue, networking at local and international levels, European cooperation, entrepreneurship, employability and gender equality.

ÀMBIT ASSOCIATION

Àmbit is an association that has a team of 23 professionals and a large group of volunteers. Together, partners, workers and volunteers, we have been working for 23 years to build

bridges and pave the way for access to the socio-community life of prisoners and ex-prisoners and people with mental illness in prison, people who do not have a favourable social environment or immigrants who can only obtain prison permits through our endorsement. The mission is to propose ways that lead people to take their place in the world and accompany them on the chosen path whatever it is.

NATHAN ASSOCIATION

Nathan is a non-profit association that deals with social promotion and in particular with restorative justice and sustainable development. It is mainly aimed at promoting experimental actions and projects to support the development of restorative justice in Italy. Over the last three years, the organisation has dealt with topics such as RJ and bullying addressing them through activities carried out in schools at a local and regional level. Through these activities, the organisation has also contributed to resolving conflicts in the migration field and raising awareness on the RJ method for detainees and inmates.
